The Society of American Magicians Magic Endowment Fund assists magicians who have suffered losses from national disasters such as earthquakes, floods, tornadoes, hurricanes and fires. The Disaster Relief Fund is supported by donations from the magic fraternity and others.
The Disaster Relief Fund is prepared to
aid victims of the current hurricanes, floods and fires in Texas, Louisiana, Florida, California
and elsewhere who
have lost props, magic equipment costumes etc. and the tools to help them rebuild and put together their acts as part-time, semi pros or full time performers . We can assist them with some modest funding to supplement whatever resources they may have elsewhere. Magicians and allied artists who sustained such losses, are encouraged to assess these disaster losses and apply for assistance at www.magicsam,.com Area RVP’s will forward requests to the Society of American Magicians Magic Endowment Fund.
The Fund is also exploring ways to contact and send humanitarian aid for food, medicine and necessities to artists in Puerto Rico and California supplementing other resources.
